Drawing from the stories of the most famous women pirates in history, Anne Bonny and Mary Read, the fictional protagonists in Violet Miranda: Girl Pirate take control of their lives--and their pirate ships--through their wiles and intelligence.
Plot Synopsis (Issue 1 of 4): Two best friends, Violet Miranda and Elsa Bonnet, are introduced to the pirate’s life and the possibility there is buried treasure waiting to be claimed. Having grown up together, their alliance has been cemented. When their fathers are killed, and they are taken captive by the son of his enemy, the seeds of rebellion are sown.
Plot Synopsis (Issue 2 of 4): Continuing the girls' story where issue #1 left off, Violet Miranda and her best friend, Elsa Bonnet, lost everything when the son of their archenemy looted the idyllic island they called home, killed their fathers, and kidnapped the girls and their mothers. After long months at sea, life on a pirate’s ship has become commonplace.
Plot Synopsis (Issue 3 of 4): Violet Miranda is tricked into sailing off aboard the pirates' ship while her friend Elsa is left behind on land. Onboard with the men, Violet becomes confident she’s the only one who knows how to find the treasure at Devil’s Throat. Meanwhile, Elsa's stirring up a little trouble of her own...
