Anyone seen this 1990 movie, starring Winona Ryder? Just watched it the other night…
Continuing the earlier discussion about teen angst flicks, seems to me this one speaks to the outsider teen experience and our celeb-obsessed culture pretty well. Even though parts of it are a bit dated, the acting’s great and Winona’s actually creepy (not fake-creepy) at the beginning. Highly recommended!

I agree Winona is at her best in this movie. Here and in Heathers. You can pretty much see a glimpse of the woman she has become–shoplifting, prescription pill popping and all.
