I’m thrilled about two upcoming publications by friends and long-time Kiss Machine columnists…
ON JUNE 14: Paul Hong’s debut collection of short fiction is called Your Love is Murder, or the Case of the Mangled Pie. It’s launching on June 14th, 7:30 pm, at The Trane Studio, 964 Bathurst St. (between Bloor and Dupont) in Toronto. 416-913-8197.
Appearances by special guests Susan Bustos, Jake Kennedy, Jim Munroe, Emily Pohl-Weary (that’s me!) and Paola Poletto. Music by The Fern Lindzon Jazz Trio. Also launching is a fun collection of poetry by Myna Wallin called A Thousand Profane Pieces.
ON JUNE 23: Tamara Faith Berger and Sophie Cossette’s Kiss Machine Presents graphic novella, Mendacity. Friday, June 23, 2006. 5-8 pm at The Embassy in Kensington Market (223 Augusta Ave, Toronto). Refreshments will be served.

Heh. I got to wear my Sherlock Holmes gear on stage last night, while I was “investigating” a mysterious situation that occurred at the printing house that published Paul Hong’s stories…
