I’ve been up to my eyeballs in Kiss Machine submissions and finally feel like the task of putting together issue #12 is coming to an end. I love this issue! Catch an early glimpse of Stro1’s cover art on the right. All I need to do is write my damn Editor’s Note and send it off to Matt B, the designer.
For those of you who haven’t visited KM’s site recently, there are some photos from the Violet Miranda #2 launch up. Yaargh! Lookit all those hot pirates. The event, held at the perfectly decorated Boat restaurant in Toronto’s Kensington Market, was a lot of fun.
The fabulous Willow D. followed that up with an exhibit of her original art at the Supermarket (268 Augusta Ave, Toronto). Go see it–it’s stunning. The show runs until April 2nd.

Sigh. I live in the wrong city sometimes. Ottawa, unfortunately, ain’t great for this!
Sounds like the event was fun!

LOL. Yeah, we had fun. I think Willow’s going to be at the Comicon in New York in June, by the way, with two women in her “Girls Missguided” comix collective. Have you ever been to that fair?

Heya!
Sorry, I meant to check back earlier and was a wee bit busy. Are you referring to MoCCA, the New York based con in June? If so, we should be there. The weird thing is that despite the fact I sent off the payment in early February, I’ve not received any confirmation from them. So I’m getting a smidgen worried.
If it is MoCCA and Willow is going, would you mind asking her if she’s heard anything? I’ve emailed them a few times and actually spoke to one of their volunteers but no one appears to know anything. Weird!
I’ve never been to this show, but MoCCA has really grown by leaps and bounds - so it should rock. And I’m really hoping that APE (in two weeks - gulp!) is fantastic, too.
