Wow, I’m having my first “vacation” in months and it’s really disconcerting. It’s not like I really celebrate Xmas, since my family and Jesse’s family are both a mixture of secular Jews and atheists. Anti-consumerist radicals, the whole lot of us. What do people who aren’t Christian do at this time of year, when everything shuts down?
Going to the Y, hanging out with my sister, playing Civ4 and watching old episodes of Angel can only eat up so much time in a week. It’s like I’m hibernating, taking a hiatus while I wait for the next round of edits on Strange Times at Western High. I’ve done everything I can for now on the non-fiction book outline I mentioned earlier.
What to do? Polish off the half-finished mystery novel I started in 2004 (for adult adults, not young adults)? We’ll see if I can get back into it…
