Shameful Issue of Kiss Machine

Filed under: Kiss Machine — Emily @ 6:49 pm

Kiss Machine 11The new issue of Kiss Machine (#11) is due back from the printer any day now, and I think it’s the best one yet. The theme is shame, one of my current obsessions. We have stunning full-colour art by John Abrams on three of the four covers from his “Breathless” series, inspired by the French New Wave film of the same name.

We’ve also launched a review section–more like capsule recommendations, really–called The Kiss and Tell. One of my favourite things to read in zines is the page or two of scribbled nods to other publications, music, books and movies. For many years, that was how I found out about new cultural phenoms, so it’s fun to have a section like that in KM finally.

The unbelievably talented Lisa Rundle is solicting and editing reviews, so if you have anything that might work for the upcoming revolution issue, get in touch.

  1. Should be on sale any day now… it’s at the distributor, and it was selling like crazy at Word on the Street last weekend. I think it’s the best-looking one yet.
