I’m inordinately happy that a new Nancy Drew video game has just come out. It’s an electronic version of the classic book, Secret of the Old Clock. Though the games are made for ages 11+, I’ve played all of them. Devoured them is more like it. I’ve even tried to recruit others into the club, like Sally and Julia and Jim, but nobody else seems quite as excited as I am by the prospect of being Nancy for 20 hours as you solve clues and listen to the voice-over actor have mysterious conversations with suspicious folks. Their loss. A few months ago, I actually emailed the people at the company that makes the games, Herinteractive, to see whether they wanted me to be on their advisory committee. I’ve never done that before. I’m such a geek. Anyway, I’m gonna forget about getting any writing done for the next couple days.

OK, so I finished the game just 1/2 hour ago and have returned to the real world. Phew!
