There’s a great recommendation for Strange Times in the current issue of Canadian Bookseller magazine in an article called “Strong heroes for young adults”:
This dragster-riding, zine-making sleuth is the ultimate answer to the gaggle of gossip girl titles that dominate YA shelves.
Also, I’m reading at a YWCA event that’s part of their teen-oriented Week Without Violence initiative. It’s called Bully 2 U and I’ll be joined by Belladonna, (Off my Chest), Nadja Halilbegovich (My Childhood Under Fire: A Sarajevo Diary), Shyam Selvadurai (Swimming in the Monsoon Sea), Teresa Toten (Me and the Blondes) and Eric Walters (Shattered).

The start of what will be a torrent of great words said about Natalie!
Too bad about the date of the Bully 2 U event. I’d think your time on that particular day would be totally taken up by someone special in your life who has a birthday then…

Thanks Jess, and happy soon-to-be birthday. You’re catching up to me for one month! And we’ll make sure to do special things to make sure it’s a great day anyhow…

Strange Times at Western High is a really great book. I really enjoyed reading it. My fav characters in the book were Ramiro, Eddie, and Natalie. it was a amazing work of words. Hope you write more books and make a great series.
