I received hot-off-the-press copies of my novel, A Girl Like Sugar, on Thursday. It’s sooo beautiful!!! The images Lisa Smolkin did for the chapter headings are a smidge teeny, but look awesome. I’m still kind of in shock: it’s my first novel! In two weeks, I leave for the book tour. Last week, I read from a galley copy twice, at two different libraries, and the sections went over well. The younger audience didn’t get ALL the cultural references, but the librarians definitely did.
