Cover of Better to Have Loved. My book Better to Have Loved: The Life of Judith Merril won the Hugo for best related book. It’s the science fiction community’s biggest award. I had to get up onstage in front of 2,000 people and actually say something! The ceremony was held at WorldCon in Toronto on August 30 (hence the award’s wild maple-leaf inspired design). BtHL was also a shortlist finalist for the prestigious Toronto Book Award, which honours books that evoke Toronto. Details at JudithMerril.com.
